The Tarawa Trip was a trip of a lifetime for me. I start researching Tarawa with a gaming friend of mine, Terry Kolb. We had this idea that we could create scenario books for the Pacific Battles of WWII and also communicate the history that happened there. Terry started working on Tarawa and I on Peleliu. After a year of work, Terry decided to focus on family leaving me the project. From that point, I purchased every book I could for Tarawa and was reading about the three-day struggle. Hence, being able to see the island with my eyes and share the experience with others was extremely exciting for me.
